Taking Obama’s words out of context are pretty much for par for the course as far as Republican strategies go, though. Trying to tar Obama as a socialist despite all observable evidence didn’t work for the Republicans in 2008, so no wonder they’re trying again!

ACORN was investigated and found to be innocent of voter fraud, but the Right Wing media hammered their talking points so consistently and for so long that their willingly naive voting base sees ACORN as a political villain. To Republicans, it’s all about their team winning without respect to policy, the process or ethics. They know two things for sure, to tell a big enough lie and repeat it often enough, and to accuse their enemies of what they themselves are all too often guilty of.
